I was a heartbeat in the bassline,
a shadow in neon glow,
spinning songs for sleepless souls,
letting music take control.

Then the road called out my name,
a whisper through the trees,
so I traded decks for capricious drives,
chasing the wind and the unknown.

Van doors open, stories spilling,
stars my only streetlights,
solitude became my compass,
freedom kept me up at night.

Shaky hands and restless dreams,
words that long to take their form,
poetry like mountain echoes.

But the highway will sing a new song soon,
gears shift in a diesel hum,
a woman riding steel and thunder,
building a safe place she'd never known.

I’m the quiet storm still rising,
carving paths where few have been,
solo driver, storyteller,
writing truth against the wind.

Cori, 34. Solo female, former open-format DJ, and van lifer. Two dogs by my side, chasing freedom and healing on my own terms. I write, I dream, and soon, I’ll be behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler creating new content. My ultimate goal? To build an affordable living community on my homeland in East Tennessee where I plan to employ and house the hopeless, foster children and dogs, and build the family I've always dreamed of. Why? Because home should be within reach for everyone.
